Stryder is the much-anticipated second book in The Black Stallion Trilogy. This time, baby brother Stryder and middle brother Anson head to Russia where it’s off to buy a sex slave. The evil Vasily Poplov is selling women to perfectly horrible rich people, and the Steele brothers have wrangled themselves invites. Anson wants to save one in particular, but Stryder already had his sights set on Zoya Morozova.Zoya had come to Russia from her village and been grabbed up. Now she was being taken back to the Steeles ranch to help with recovering the other girls and bringing down the buyers, and Poplov.
Of course, Stryder is attracted to Zoya and even though he comforts her, you know the spankings are coming. Granted, sometimes I had to give a good eye roll at some of the reasons behind them, and I’m a sub. (Maybe that’s why the Steele boys don’t like American women?)
Still, it’s a great read, and well written with some truly hot scenes. I’m still up in the air about Jennie though. She’s loving, and wonderful to her boys and their exotic women, but pushing veganism on them like she does, then smoking pot and getting drunk is hypocritical, not to mention dosing someone you propose to care for with laxatives? That’s just wrong.
Still, I give this book 4 Stars because the story is well done, the sex is hot, and despite the craziness, I can’t seem to put the books down.

Truly enjoyed these first 2 stories in the Black Stallion Trilogy and am so looking forward to the next one coming this month. The storyline and author's writing are excellent. Heartely recommend reading the whole trilogy.
This is the second book in this series. It was just as good as book 1. It is sexy and suspenseful. Great Read. I couldn't put it down. This is the first time I have read from Alta Hensley and will have to look at more of her books. This is not the first time I have read Maggie Ryan. I have read each of her books and her books get better with every new book. I can't wait to read Book 3 Anson. Hopefully we won't have to wait long.
The second book in the Black Stallion Trilogy, a wonderful romance but you also see the dark side of the underworld. Zoya shows an incredible amount of bravery and strength she comes back from something no one should have to experience. The romance between Zoya and Stryder is very sweet, and very hot. Lots of backstory so it could be a standalone but so far the series has definitely been worth it. Can't wait for the third one!
The second book in the Black Stallion series and I think this ine is actually better then the first time. I loved Stryder and Zoya together. She is was the right amount of feisty. The story has a good pace. My favorite charcter is still Jennie.
Wow, just wow!! A wonderful book here with so many fantastic things; steamy romance, danger, adventure, characters to cheer for, villains to hate, a plot with suspense that's written so well you feel as if you are watching a movie! I started reading, put everything on hold, and read until I finished, seriously, it's that good! No spoilers from me and no synopsis don't miss this exciting HOT addition to the series! And if you haven't read book one, Maddox, what are you waiting for? I am so excited to read book three!
I have been eagerly waiting for this book to come out after reading Maddox and I was not disappointed! Alta Hensley and Maggie Ryan are great writers, but put them together and they are even better. A hot, protective family of alpha males and the women they love and protect. It doesn't get any better. Now I hope I don't have to wait too long for the 3rd installment. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
Stryder and Zoya. She is Stryder's SAVE and so in that family it means he is the responsible party. Before Maddox's SAVE turned into MADDOX's woman, that meant nothing more. The moment Stryder saw Zoya on the screen with other women going to the auction block for sex slaves, he knew he had to save HER.
The writing and character/story development was well done. It is a fine line between dealing with the very real issue of slave trading for any reason and creating a love story. This one did well enough to allow us to fall in love with Zoya. We already loved Stryder.
4.5 stars for wow! that was tough.
What you won't find in this story is building the relationship of love as the center stage. It is shared with the issue of sexual slavery. If you want a sappy love story with giggles and light hearted play, this is not it. but if you want some real life mixed in with your fantasy this is what you are looking for.
I laughed and felt horror at the issue but felt triumph over evil and enjoyed the love that bloomed out of the waste. A new day. Hope.
Anson is next and we who have read Stryder know what is going to happen next. So read this book and catch up...
